To Hokkaido

So, we've been to Hokkaido during the Golden week last May.

Er..actually it wasn't even the Golden week. We went like a few days before the Golden week. simply because I was so..tak faham la bila actually cutinya >,<

Hokkaido is a very nice place if you plan to come. Offering you something different for those who are residing in Japan and crave for something different other than shrines and matsuris. hehe..you know what I mean :p

Anyways, despite of that, I had a hard time to focus and enjoy the moment as I couldn't take my mind off of work. With the emails constantly came in, and the thought about the viva and conference. Nonetheless, I had a great time with the love of my life, who kinda try to compensate the times he's been missing for work. How sweet :')

At first, I feel reluctant to write on the journey. But while I was doing research for the trip, I had a hard time to find reviews. So, I decided to add into the search engine. Nice or not, belakang kira :p

Second reason being, isn't it nice when I browse through this blog, and I can read the memory :) Don't you think the same too?:)

Lastly, my biological clock for sleeping went haywire since viva week, i fell asleep around 830pm everynight, wake up at 10pm and only sleep again at 2. So, yes, I have free time from 10pm to 2am. I don't know what's happening, but I guess circadian genomic clock can explain this.

Well, ok, enough with mukaddimah :p

The train from Nagoya city to Nagoya Airport.

Look! look! it has 'chiketto horuda' (translation: ticket holder). I don't know how you guys, but I feel impressed by this small thing!Really made my life easier:')

Nagoya Airport located like in the middle/by the sea:) Awesome view!

hehe..We flew by AirAsia Japan Domestic.

Ok, this is important. Trip in Hokkaido shall startas soon as you step down of the plane. The attraction starts in the airport. Even I should pesan to you to just buy your souvenirs there. Seriously, the airport has eeevrything! It's better too so as you don't need to carry your stuff all the way to the airport and jeorpadozing their integrity. Boleh jumpa semuaaaa semuaaaa sekali di airport k!Even more stuff!

Another thing, there's a entertainment area at the airport; The smile road (I bet the name given on purpose:p)

Dekat sini je ada banyak sangat attraction, especially....

Tadaaa!!! Royce' Chocolate World!
#Royce chocolate was found in Hokkaido.
So, inside the chocolate world, there's a small museum where you can see most of the history of Royce chocolate and exhibition on the chocolates from the 'ancient' days. I don't find it interesting though :p But just immerse yourself with it k.
Also, the factory was there surrounded by glass wall. So, you can see the making from outside. Kids will find this amusing. Me?

This is totally for me!!!The only one thing I came for! But husband made me see everything first before I can step into the store (store kat depan sekali, k:/ I think he should let me get what I want first before dragging me into those museum:/)

And, this was our favorite:) white chocolate with cranberries toppings:)

Besides that, there's Doraemon skypark (comel sgt cafe dia :'))

And Hello Kitty World!

So, as I told you, it started as soon as you arrived!

Berita terkini..

Hiroshima, Jun 7- Wani telah pun siap thesis beliau :')

Yahoo!!!! lol xp
*Not officially merdeka la tapi..sebab lepas ni ade thesis defend. macam-macam..redah saje.

So many procedures to accomplish. But for those who are doing their doctorate, mesti macam target viva je kan? Sebab memang betul pun tu la yang macam scary sikit. Sebab it is an open presentation, anybody can come to question you. Lucky for us (me and the other two members of my batch) for our session was reschedule to a day in which most Professors were unavailable. bahaha.. Even one of my examiner could not come due to last minute notice. The date changes was all..because of my supervisor. phew..nevertheless, my session was one of the toughest.

Do you want to see how my viva went like?

Top: During the 20 minutes presentation.
Bottom: During question and answer.

Well, most of the questions was like..'what the hell? I never really ever look into this matter >,<'
And what's worst, I had a meeting a day before that with one of the judges. He asked me which part of my research that I found it difficult and could not find the answer. Something like that.
And..he asked me that question (!!)
I went err..and look at my mentors' faces. One of them acted dead, another one turned blue, and my supervisor was laughing. Don't worry, I took care of the question pretty well:)
Alhamdulillah..

Us, after.

All three of us very aware of our journey. It was a difficult one. The left one, Dr. Andra had his prof. died a month before our viva session. To find replacement prof. was not an easy task in here, in fact in Japan. Title prof. is not for everybody. So, until today, he has no one taking care of him.
The middle one...sigh..she was struggling with emotional instability due to long distance marriage since day 1 she arrived in Japan. She is now nothing but getting worse.
The right one Dr. Tung? I don't know. haha.

After all these years we thought the feeling of completing viva is something that we can't imagine, but certainly giving us pleasure. But, surprisingly for me, it was a total numb. Like anti-climax.
As soon as I stepped down the stage, away from the rostrum, I was checking my phone.
Waiting for..who else T_T
That's how when a person meant very much to you. Everything else become meaningless T_T

With those who stayed till end :) Oh, I was the first to present. hehe..and yes, I was wearing a very red shoes and I appeared pretty colourful. Something that you won't see in here for a viva, or for a formal presentation in fact. I just wanna be myself :D

I'll be flying back to KL this Sept.
See you!

It's today!:')

Assalamualaikum,

Hello! apa khabar?

Gosh..it's so awkward to start writing to you after a long hiatus (again)!

Anyway, I was so busy for the whole month of May, making preparation for today :') May 29th, inshaAllah marking the day I finally finishes my doctorate study (alhamdulillah). Although unofficial, but today's test is the biggest milestone for us to pass. If we passed this one, following test would be just the protocol. I hope that is also the case for this year's Grad student.

I should write an entry dedicated to my Dept. and Prof. kan?

They are (well some of them actually :p) indeed a blessing in my life.

I'm writing now because I already sick of all the slides, the scripts. I can't look at them anymore. Blerghh..

The three stooges student who will finish their PhD. The only batch with mostly boys. I don't know why, but I had always in the class yg overwhelmed by boys. So unlike what I have heard. The left one is Dr. Tung of Vietnam, and at the right is Dr. Andra of Indonesia. Both of them are surgeons and like 7feet tall (!). Me? Imma housewife and tiny (T_T).

Anyway, before the final presentation this afternoon, I would have to meet with the examiners and make them understand about what I was doing. Basically convincing them my study is worth the time for them to judge. Most of the times, they were amused by my wedding ring. I mean, It wasn't because the ring was big or what not, but they were amused by..what? you are married? and your husband has been living in Japan for years? and what?you and your husband has been living separately since...ever?

yea..things like that. At one point, I kinda frustrated coz..again husband stole my spotlight (although he did not inted to or not knowing it.sighh). FYI, Japanese are easily amused by foreigners, especially those who can speak, write like them and understand their jokes. Even more respect if that foreigners could pull a joke, japanese style. hehe.

Despite, everything went well, not much questions asked. Alhamdulillah..but again, it's either I did very well, or they didn't actually understand what I was talking. hehe. Hopefully the first one eh :')

May 29th will be remember as the day marking the end of our LDR.

I wish.

Husband is still in Korea. Looks like the union wouldn't be happening around this year at all. The earliest maybe January. Hubby has commitment yet to accomplish. Till then, I don't know where I will be. Nevertheless, doakan kami semoga akhirnye dapat bersatu macam suami isteri yang lain, k:) I believe, setiap marriage has its own test, and this is ours.

Oh yes, my presentation is gonna be later today.

But I've started packing last night :D

So excited to finally unite with my Prince :D

Although the future is so vaguely seen now. The most important, unite first, other things come later! InshaAllah..

I think starting tomorrow, you'll see me write more often (hopefully).

So many things to share especially of my recent visit to Hokkaido.

It was very difficult for me to find reviews on Hokkaido. Maybe I could help a bit for you later.

Bagi sket sneek peak di Hokkaido (yang sejok nk mamp...)

Write to you again very soon!
